With a busy family of 8 people it was hard to coordinate a day to get them all together, but we did it! Tavis has known these guys forever, so they got to see him grow up and we've gotten to see their family grow as well. It was fun taking their family pictures!

An inexpensive DIY project just for fun!

I want to be colorful and creative in all areas of my life, not just photography - so I LOVE doing arts & crafts or little projects just for fun. I saw this at my friend's house so she came over today with her buttons and I made one for my house too!

Materials needed:

• buttons
• old vase (got mine for $1 at goodwill)
• floral wire

How to create:

• loop the wire through the buttons, leaving about an inch to twist
  
• twist it underneath so the button stays upright (may use pliers)
  
• twist the completed flower stems around a pencil to curl
• arrange your bouquet!

Yakima Photographer:: The Village Musicians

I met these guys at a wedding in June - the bride & groom got married at their house, and they were the live band for the reception. They needed some new photos to use for upcoming promotional material, website, etc. so they contacted us about a session and of course we were all over it. We started off in downtown Yakima, and they ended the session by jumping into the pool with all their clothes on (in the middle of October brrrrrr) Seen in this video here:



The session was very spontaneous and random. They were having so much fun I could barely get them to hold still :)

Yakima Event Photographer:: Halloween Celebration 2010

This year for Halloween, Tavis and I were asked to do the photos for the Halloween Celebration at the Selah Civic Center (hosted by Selah merchants & Harvest Community Church) The photos were free so that families could come up on stage and get their photo taken all dressed up, then we printed them off so they could pick them up that night. From the moment they open the doors until it ended, that place was PACKED. Over 1,700 people came through!! It was so fun spending my Halloween with a bunch of great people, and getting to see some really sweet costumes. Here are some of my favorites:
