Hail: right after the first look, it started raining then hailing and it was SO crazy loud on the tin roof. We were also completely stunned becuase the forecast said only 10% rain and it's June for heavens sake... why is is so freezing cold in June!?
Starbucks: Jon the groom works at Starbucks so we see him often there. On the wedding day we stopped by the store and they grabbed a coffee! There were also lots of other Starbucks threads woven in this wedding reception.
Alanis Morissette: Julie's grandmother couldn't make it to the wedding so before the ceremony we drove the couple into town to visit her. They mentioned that they were reminded of the song, "Ironic" by Alanis Morissette that says, "it's like raaaaiiinnnnn on your wedding day" (since it was raining) so while they were inside visiting grandma I downloaded it and we listened to it on the way back. :) It was a fun way to make light of the situation that it was raining on their wedding day.
Birdseed: This is the final main thing I will remember about this wedding. Somehow during their getaway I accidentally got in the path of the birdseed and got it all over me. I thought I had dusted it all off until later that night I was sitting at the computer and Tavis comes up to me and says something like, "what on earth" and he took a cell phone picture of about 30 birdseed stuck all over the top and back of my hair, haha. I took a little bit of the wedding home with me!!
I love the wine idea! were doing the winebox ceremony, but I LOVE this idea. hmmm maybe we'll do it too...
