We shot Mike & Megan's wedding photos in 2009, and they were the lucky winners of our family giveaway last month as well! Sawyer wasn't giving us a whole lot of variety with his expressions but we still captured him and all his cuteness. Love those little shoes too. Happy Halloween everyone!

rain + engagement session = a creative and adventurous morning!
This couple met up with us recently for a morning engagement session and although it was raining, we made the best of it! I think it pushed us to be even more creative with the limited dry areas we could find, and it was adventurous dodging the rain at the same time. Thank goodness for Cascade Garden who allowed us to use their property for the shoot! They have lots of great covered areas that kept this couple pretty dry. Once it stopped raining, we also explored around the Naches area and found some pretty fall colors, open fields and barns. I love how the photos turned out! It's plain to see the natural chemistry that this couple has. They look so happy in the pictures that you'd never know it was freezing outside :)

A fall Leavenworth wedding at Pine River Ranch!
Pine River Ranch is becoming one of our most popular places to shoot weddings and we love it up there! We've gotten to know David and Rachel more recently (the couple that runs the wedding venue) and they are so accommodating and great to work with. They even took our suggestion and switched out the lightbulbs in the bride's getting ready room to give photographers better lighting... how awesome is that!
Kelsey & Adam got married at the perfect time of year in the Leavenworth area. With so many wonderful changing colors, it made the drive there and the photographs super easy! This couple probably got really sick of hearing me say, "I just love these colors!" hehe. My favorite memory of the wedding day was the toast that the bridesmaids put together. These ladies have been friends their whole lives from growing up on Orcas Island. For the toast, they took turns reading the google chat history from the day after Kelsey & Adam had their first date or somewhere around that time. They even used props and spoke in different voices. It was hilarious! The guests got an absolute kick out of it, and Tavis and I laughed a lot ourselves :)
