Tavis and I photographed the Childers family last week while they were in Washington visiting family! They live in Pennsylvania while Kurtis is doing his residency... I can't believe it's been almost three years since we last photographed their family. Their kids have grown, they added another baby, and Aubrey's hair is longer than last time.... I can't say that Kurtis has changed much though :) I love photographing this family because their kids are definitely not shy... at all!!! I remember this from last time too, but Kael still has his million unique expressions. He's so funny, instead of giving us his real smile he says, "you guys know what makes me smile... tell me not to smile" and so we tell him not to smile and he does this dramatic little fake laugh, haha. Gavin is about a month and a half older than Lincoln so his cute little outfit gave me good inspiration for our family photos coming up too :) If you're looking for cute ideas for your family photos as well, check out Target!
Tavis and I did a little scouting trip to find a public park or area with some color and things blooming. Since we did an orchard last time with this family, we wanted something new, and the best blooming variety happened to be at the Yakima Arboretum! Perfect sunny March afternoon, the kids got to run and play a little bit and we got some great photos of this beautiful growing family. Before the session Aubrey told us, "We are very into health and fitness, we all work out together, go for family jogs, etc. We like to be outside as much as possible" - so we included a little health and fitness running around and lifting into the session too... check it out!
