Everyone loves Molly and Jon and they are highly regarded among their family and friends...but really how could you not love them? They're both so happy, positive and loving. Not to mention they both love the Lord with all their hearts and their faith is not something they're afraid to show. Their wedding day was very Christ focused with many times of prayer, worship, communion and also a symbolic foot washing during the ceremony - which parallels Jesus' act of humility in the Bible.
The groom even asked Tavis to pray with him right before the first look. It very meaningful to us to be a part of their wedding day and the beginning of their marriage. The bride and bridesmaids prayed and sang the Doxology before the wedding and the groom and groomsmen prayed before the wedding as well.
They've spent some of their relationship long distance (he was serving on CRU in East Asia) - so on the wedding day they definitely seemed to still be in the "giddy" stage. They couldn't stay away from each other and are totally over the top in love. Which is awesome! For a photographer this is the perfect scenario because we didn't even have to prompt them for laughter or romance, it just came naturally all day. I don't cry at every single wedding but I couldn't help but cry happy tears at this wedding.
Tavis and Amy photographed this wedding at Cascade Garden here in Yakima. And the owners of Cascade Garden are Molly's Aunt and uncle. The catering was done by Snyder Family BBQ. At about 1pm I saw this huge crowd huddled around the BBQ so I went to see what was going on. They had a TV set up with the Seahawks game so of course everyone gathered around. :) They had an amazing apple box themed reception and the bride's dress was handmade!
