This was a wedding to be remembered! Lachelle and Keith photographed this wedding at Maison de Padgett Winery in Zillah, WA. This Italian Winery themed wedding was spot on with creativity, overflowing romance, fun and homemade twists! It's hard to even know where to start with the explanation of all the unique features we saw at this wedding.
First of all, the bride and bridesmaids made their own bouquets and most of the flowers for the bouquets, boutonnieres and decorations were gathered from all around the Yakima Valley. Secondly, Tarah and Bryant had two officiants...both of their dads shared the responsibility of performing the ceremony and it was very meaningful! Thirdly, the bride had bridesmaids and bridesmen--her brothers stepped in as two of her attendants. The reception meal was a delicious homemade Italian spread with salads, fruit, cheese and fresh bread from over very own local Essentia Bakery. The centerpieces were lovely potted plants and succulents, and the guests were encouraged to take a potted plant home as their wedding favor. All the decorations were just perfect. The bride loves Christmas and so at one point during the reception, the DJ played Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer in her honor. :) Their guestbook was made of rocks, the bride wore her mother's pearls, they had a pie bar where many guests brought pies to share, the guests threw rose pedals for the bride and groom as they came back up the aisle, and they had a candlelit getaway. It is also worth mentioning that their was some very energetic dancing at this wedding. At one point, the bride and groom burst out into an impromptu, yet surprisingly in sync dance with each other! It was quite impressive!
The bride also surprised the groom with a kransekake, a traditional Norwegian layered wedding cake. The groom just finished law school and also has a degree from UW in Political Science and Scandinavian Studies and thus it was a very meaningful surprise! The groom is determined, kind, caring and fun. The bride is very strong, outgoing and loves people. It was said of her, "Everybody knows and loves Tarah!" They are a passionate couple and SO into each other. The bride made a joke about catching three wedding bouquets in 2014 and said, "The third times the charm!" :)
