Recipe for a House of Love
A home made from love is what God intends.
Filled with all of our family, love is not blind nor pretends.
The recipe is simple, the ingredients are clear.
Keeping God close is essential, for love to be near.
Start with some laughter and don't forget to pray.
Mix in a few smiles and God will make clear the way.
Stacie and Daniel were married in Rockford, Washington on July 29th, 2016 and they have all the ingredients for a house of love. The ceremony was held at the LaShaw Family's 100 year old farm, A Touch of Country. They say that, "at the juncture of Heaven and Earth, there's a Touch of Country," and we agree. A Touch of Country was a fun destination for the wedding with wide open spaces and great scenery. This wedding venue has beautiful rolling fields of timothy hay that are set against Mica Peak, which created a stunning backdrop. The home, arbor, and porch added to the stylish country-chick setting and were decorated in white, pink and navy blue.
Both the bride and groom are both blessed with close knit Christian families. Stacie and Daniel crossed paths a few times growing up and again five years ago at a wedding. They were officially set-up on a blind date a year and a half ago. It seems that their paths kept crossing for a reason! Their love and affection is strong and you can see it bursting out in these photographs!
The bridal party was comprised of seven bridesmaids and seven groomsmen. Stacie's friend and roommate, Alissa, served as Maid of Honor. Stacie had her cousins, Sheila and Anna, her friend Kristen, Daniel's sister Joanna, and friends Jillian and Mariette as her bridesmaids. Daniel's best man was his brother Andrew, and groomsmen included his brothers David, Mikias, and Yohannes. His brother-in-law Andrew, Stacie's brother Grant, and friend Mike also stood up for Daniel as his groomsmen. The couple had two sweet flower girls, Jazzlynn, age four, and Christianna, age three. The handsome ring bearer was five year old, Ryland.
Stacie looked beautiful in her wedding gown from Marcella’s Bridal, and the bridesmaids wore navy dresses from Lulu's Bridal. Julie Farley from The Make-Up Studio, did a wonderful job with the bride's makeup. Stacie looked great all day, even in the 95 degree weather!
The wedding ceremony was especially meaningful to the couple and their families, because Daniel's father, John, was the one who married them. The ceremony and vows were rooted in Christian truth and tradition.
The reception was a time of celebration that included delicious food from Tina Marie Bishop Events, who also served as the wedding coordinator. The savory wedding cake was by Happy Cakes of Spokane and the fresh wedding flowers, bridal bouquets and boutonnieres were by Evergreen Florist. Guests enjoyed music, dancing and a photobooth by Happy Campers with all the props needed to create some fun and silly photostrips that guests could take home. This warm day was made extra nice and refreshing with an ice-cream bar that opened half-way through the reception and it was yummy! We enjoyed a great day and a beautiful sunset!
