Tavis and I photographed this charming church wedding on a sunny day in Seattle. The bride and groom, Rebeccah and Jon, were some of the most patient, caring, calm, and thoughtful individuals we have ever worked with! Both of them put so much thought into all of their decisions, and this rang true with the wedding too, which went off without a single problem or hiccup! They both have very sweet families and friends as well. They are truly blessed to be surrounded by such fantastic loved ones and we really enjoyed spending the day with them.
The couple decided to be married at at Boulevard Park Church that Rebeccah grew up in. The ceremony was very special and meaningful. Rebeccah's sister Kirsten was her maid of Honor and her bridesmaids included her friend Lydia, Jon's sister Amy, her friend Amy M., and her cousin-in-law Madison. Jon's brother Ben was his best man and his groomsmen included his friend Dan, brother-in-law John, brother Nate, and Rebeccah's brother Spencer.
Adorable three year old Mikayla was the flower girl. She provided some sweet entertainment for family and friends when started down the aisle and then did an about face and headed to the back of the church. With some encouragement, she was redirected and made her way to the front of the church and completed her duty as flower girl. It was so cute!
Rebeccah was the image of classic elegance wearing a lace floor-length wedding gown from I Do Bridal in Seattle. Her hair was styled by Brittany Gresset of Mia Bella Salon and makeup was by Kaitlyn Weber of Younique who gave our bride ruby red lips. Rebeccah's bridesmaids wore knee-length burgundy dresses with lace bodices and silver sandals. The bridal bouquets were a mix of giant pink gerbera daisies, red roses and silver green foliage. The men looked great in grey suits with white button down dress shirts, grey vests, and dark red rose boutonnieres.
The wedding reception was held at Normandy Park Community Club in Seattle. The venue offers wooded areas but also has access to a beach and a great view! Many of Rebeccah's details had a modern elegance with an eclectic feel that she achieved by adding some vintage touches. The tables were decorated with milk glass bud vases that held bright red dahlias for a punch of color. The two-tier wedding cake was solid ivory and was made by Hillcrest Bakery. We have noticed a wedding reception trend this summer that favors mesquite flavors and that is exactly what Rebeccah and Jon's guests enjoyed thanks to Girls Gone BBQ. We loved the live band at the reception and would happily recommend Lindstrom & Company. Great job everybody!
After a wonderful wedding day and reception, Rebccah and Jon made their way through a tunnel of bubbles and well wishers to a 1956 Chevrolet for their getaway ride. Congratulations Rebeccah and Jon! We loved photographing your wedding!
