Swiftwater Cellars Winery Wedding || Erin + Jeremy

Yakima Wedding Photographers

Keith and Sasha had fun photographing Erin and Jeremy’s wedding and reception at Swiftwater Cellars. The bride and groom were all smiles and Keith and Sasha made sure that the couple stayed comfortable on this warm day by making the most of the natural shade at the venue. The outdoor ceremony was held at the large open air pavilion with its breathtaking view of the valley behind it as a backdrop. Erin and Jeremy are an outgoing, vibrant couple who met while teaching in California. Family and friends were happy to celebrate with them! The day was full of laughter, heartfelt embraces and dancing.

The bridesmaids were Erin’s dear friends Joelle, Devon and Kyra. Jeremy’s wedding party included his good friends Dan, Lance and his sister Rebecca. Erin’s Aunt Marla officiated the ceremony and the couple incorporated some Jewish traditions to honor Jeremy’s family heritage. After the exchange of their vows and rings, Jeremy concluded the ceremony by breaking glass wrapped in a white cloth. Guests cheered as the newlyweds made their way to the reception.

The reception was decorated in the colors of champagne, light pink and lattes. We loved that they had a globe to sign as guestbook! It was so appropriate for this couple who loves to travel and appreciates the beauty in nature. Jeremy’s family lived in England and Switzerland while he was growing up, so traveling has played a big part in their lives. There were guests that had traveled far to attend the wedding, and they could sign the places they have lived and visited. The globe will serve as a great reminder of the day not only for the couple, but also for their loved ones who visit them.

Swiftwater Cellars offered the party a savory plated wedding dinner, wine and spirits. For dessert, the wedding party and guests were treated to Ellensburg’s Winegars Homemade Ice Cream. Erin and Jeremy continued the travel theme at the reception by offering guests a “build your own trail mix” bar that was clever and unique. It was soon time to toast the bride and groom and they received many celebratory stories and tributes. Jeremy’s mom and dad said it was tradition in their family to read poetry and so it was fitting that their toast included the reading of some of Jeremy’s favorite childhood poems. They went one step further though, by putting a fun twist on the poetry to fit Jeremy that resulted in much laughter!

We are glad that Erin and Jeremy were brave enough to included the Hora chair dance at their reception because it makes for wonderful photos and is a beautiful example of the joy of the day. The bride and groom were lifted up on chairs and all of the guests gathered on the dance floor in a circle, moving back and forth while kicking their leg and making grapevine type steps around them. We have included some of these must see photos in the collage below!
