Turquoise and Brown Wedding

Tavis and Amy photographed this wedding on August 14th at the spacious Cattle Barn in Cle Elum. Weddings are typically over weekends, but this couple had a legit reason for booking Monday, August 14th. It is the day her parents and grandparents got married too! We loved incorporating some special generational photos into their wedding day. The ceremony was officiated by Katie's brother, which was a surprise to everyone! The brother and groom rode down the hill on horses...it was pretty awesome. Then Katie and her dad came in on a stage coach pulled by horses. How cool is that!?!  The horses and stagecoach were all provided by Longhorn Cattle Company. Horses are a big part of this couple's lives so this was a MUST in the wedding planning!

Katie and Coleton decided to add to the celebration by doing a choreographed first dance! Of course - lots of cheering from the guests was involved. Crafts by Jamie Hanson arranged charming bouquets. They matched the wedding theme to a T. New Diamond Productions was great to work alongside as they were the videographers for the day!

Naches Wedding at Fontaine Estates // Kalynn + Jovanny Ramos

Tavis and Amy photographed this wedding at Fontaine Estates on August 12th. The joyous couple was Kalynn and Jovanny. After being together for over six years it was finally time for these two to become one :) We had a wonderful time getting to know the Bride and Groom throughout the day!

Currently residing on the west side of the mountains, Kalynn and Jovanny were clearly meant to be together. You know it's going to be a fun day when they have Krispy Kremes as dessert instead of cake. All of the guests were in love with that idea, especially the kids! We loved hearing how Kalynn put her special touch on everything for the day...including doing her own hair and makeup! She looked absolutely stunning.

In addition to being an amazing venue, Fontaine Estates also provided the linens and decor! They make it convenient by having an option of including those in your wedding day. Ideal for busy soon to be brides! Big Ern Productions kept everyone entertained as the reception went on. Lots of kids attended this wedding, which meant lawn games would be essential. :)

Kalynn was all about including family on her wedding day. She had her friend, Jessica, as the maid of honor. Her sisters Heather, Meggie, and Claire as bridesmaids, as well as Hannah, her cousin. The girls looked beautiful in their dresses from Francesca's! Jovanny's brother, Kristopher, his friends Sergio, Oscar, Cesar, Alejandro, Pedro, and Rafa were all chosen as Jovanny's groomesmen. The couple's first dance was even sung by Cesar! We had a lot of fun during the couple's session and with bridal party. Experimented with some new ideas, and everyone was down for it!

Ellensburg Wedding at Kittitas County Fairgrounds Event Center // Whitney + Nick Finley

Vibrant Colored Wedding

Lachelle and Sasha photographed this wedding on July 29th at the Kittitas County Event Center in Ellensburg. Whitney and Nick had been together for 6 years before tying the knot! They met at CWU in an archaeology class and both graduated with degrees in anthropology. Now they both have a masters degree too! The Bride and Groom both love the outdoors, as Whitney is a Restoration Biologist with the Yakama Nation. We had a wonderful time getting to know these two, witness their love for one another shine, and observe as the couple was wrapped in support and endless grace.

When we first asked Whitney what she was looking forward to the most she replied, "the HUSBAND thing." :) After that response it was clear this day was bound to be one for the books. Between her vibrant personality, and their vibrant love for each other, you can bet they had a vibrant colored wedding! Come to find out Whitney is Irish, and Nick is Scottish, which cleared up some distinct outfit choices. Here are a few ways the Bride and Groom incorporated family throughout the day:

• Nick had his father and brother as his groomsmen. They all wore kilts! 
• Who says flower girls have to be children?! This couple had their grandmother's walk down the aisle tossing pedals. Paula and Dorothy made the cutest flower girls EVER. It was such a special moment! Paula is a very talented gardener and was Whitney's inspiration in her choice of education and work. 
• The Groom's mother passed away suddenly several years ago. In remembrance of her, the Bride gave him cuff links that had his mother's ashes in them. 
• Whitney gave her bridesmaids an Irish heart with a stone from Galway Ireland. 

This couple is so passionate about one another. Getting to know them as the day went on was like gaining friends. They are so sweet together!  Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Finley!
