Tavis and Amy photographed this wedding on June 30th at Youngberg Hill Winery in McMinnville, Oregon. The winery had amazing views to enjoy, and the weather was perfect! Kellie and Kyle were such a joy to spend the day alongside. The two love birds have been together for over 8 years and are a perfect pair.

Lots of laughs were shared by everyone all day! Kellie and Kyle had a wonderful group of friends to make up their bridal party. Allison, Dani, Brenna, Lindsey, Kylee and Alex were gorgeous bridesmaids! Kevin A., Brian, Kevin K., Travis, Bill and Thomas rocked it as the groomsmen. What a fun group of people! They were so supportive of Kellie and Kyle :) Luci, age 7, and Maggie, age 4, were the cutest little flower girls!

I love finding out all the little details that have been put into a wedding day. Kellie's wedding band was her grandmother's, and it was so lovely. Also, one of her family friends made all the bouquets! Ed, the Bride's father, gave a memorable toast...he had everyone laughing! Seriously, so funny!! We loved photographing this lively group of people! Congratulations to the happy couple.

Yakima Wedding at Holy Family Catholic Church // Renae + Kegan Powers

Tavis and Cloey photographed Renae and Kegan as they joined together as one on July 7th. The wedding ceremony was at Holy Family Catholic Church in Yakima, and the reception was held at Pioneer Hall State Fair Park. What a special day this was! The Bride and Groom were surrounded by love and support all day long. They have known each other for many years, and both went to Central Washington University. Renae teaches in the arts at West Valley and Kagen teaches in the sciences for Toppenish. "It's nice, because we balance each other out!" - a quote from Kegan :) Although we were only with them for a day, it was clear to see his statement is true. Truly, such a sweet couple.

Favorite part from the day? Okay, there are more than one..Here are a few!

•  First off, we went to their house and took pictures with their adorable dogs!
• A friend of Kegan's has a cool old yellow car. He gave them rides throughout the day & it was super cute!!
• The 4th of July carnival rides were still set up...so we totally had them go down the Super Slide and hop on the carousel towards the end of the night. Such fun wedding photos!
• Renae's father passed away when she was 11. In honor of him she pinned his badge to her bouquet. It was so special.

Of course, there were many more memorable moments throughout the day. Renae made such a stunning Bride. I decided she is a modern day princess. She has actually modeled for Lin Paul's in the past! Amy's Bridal Boutique fitted her to the perfect dress. Athina Flora designed elegant bouquets for the ladies. We later found out that the maid of honor, Leena, is Athina's daughter! During the bridal party portraits Leena had a squirt bottle to keep the flowers hydrated. Genius! 

We loved having the opportunity to be involved with Renae & Kegen's wedding day. Capturing their love was such a blessing! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Powers!

Naches Wedding at Fontaine Estates // Kala + Matthew McDougal

Tavis and I photographed Kala and Matt's wedding on June 23rd at Fontaine Estates in Naches. We actually first met Kala at BNI about four years ago. She is such a kind spirit! Kala and Matt make a great pair. They were together for over five years before sealing the deal! He was going to propose on the 4th of July last year...but then she poked fun at the people who propose on holidays so he decided not to at the last minute. Obviously she said "yes" when he finally popped the question ;)

Now you probably want to hear the actual engagement story! They both work together with their trucking company. So he proposed in one of the trucks! I always love hearing the different stories behind a proposal! We photographed their engagement session, so naturally we went to take photos there. It was such a fun session, as they included their kids, Chloe and Taylor. Plus the dogs!

Speaking of dogs...I LOVED how their dogs were there for the wedding, and had the freedom to roam free. They enjoyed the wedding festivities as much as the guests! Even with a white wedding dress and Jimmy Choo shoes on, the dogs had no problem just snuggling right up to Kala. During the first dance they were also close by enjoying the night right along with the couple. It was so special. These two have family from all around. Matt has a lot of family from Eugene, and Kala has family from Alaska. You could tell everyone was thrilled to be together celebrating their marriage! We can't go without mentioning the gorgeous flower arrangements designed by Kameo Flowers. They were lovely! Everyone was complimenting them all day. The stylists at Belu Salon did a fabulous job with the hair and makeup as well!

Naches Wedding at American Homestead // Nakota + Jesse Chavez

Rose and Green Wedding

Rhiann and Haley photographed this wedding at American Homestead in Naches on June 16th. Nakota and Jesse were surrounded by their loving family and friends as they joined together as one. After dating for 9 years it was finally time to seal the deal! They have the cutest 1 year old daughter, Amiya, who was one of the flower girls. Nikole, her niece and age 10, was a junior flower girl. Elly and Viviana, both age 7, and Davenie, age 2, who are all her nieces, were also flower girls. They were so pretty! Jayden, age 4, and Adrian, age 2, both nephews, were the ring bearers. As you can probably tell by now, Nakota and Jesse are all about family :) To put it into perspective, we did an all inclusive family portrait during the reception. We noticed there were only about 10 people left in the building during this! :)

Photographing the bridal party was very entertaining. There was a total of 20 people. So we had lots to work with! Not to mention the rad rain happening...luckily everyone kept cheerful spirits and made the most of our situation! Nakota and Jesse were not shy of love and support from their dear friends.

Kerri from Kerri's Cakes made a beautiful cake. It was very yummy! The cake must have given everyone a sugar rush (maybe the alcoholic beverages helped too...!), because people were being thrown in the air left and right! Pretty sure Jesse had his feet in the air more than on the ground throughout the course of the reception. Even the children were being tossed in the air!

They danced the La Vibora De La Mar, which is a snake like dance where the couple starts on chairs and attempts to not get knocked over. It got pretty rowdy, especially when the boys went! Traditionally, they throw the groom in the air after this dance, then take him away, strip him of his clothes, bring his clothes back to the Bride, and she has to find them. He got away only losing his socks and shoes.
