Tavis and I photographed Kala and Matt's wedding on June 23rd at Fontaine Estates in Naches. We actually first met Kala at BNI about four years ago. She is such a kind spirit! Kala and Matt make a great pair. They were together for over five years before sealing the deal! He was going to propose on the 4th of July last year...but then she poked fun at the people who propose on holidays so he decided not to at the last minute. Obviously she said "yes" when he finally popped the question ;)
Now you probably want to hear the actual engagement story! They both work together with their trucking company. So he proposed in one of the trucks! I always love hearing the different stories behind a proposal! We photographed their engagement session, so naturally we went to take photos there. It was such a fun session, as they included their kids, Chloe and Taylor. Plus the dogs!
Speaking of dogs...I LOVED how their dogs were there for the wedding, and had the freedom to roam free. They enjoyed the wedding festivities as much as the guests! Even with a white wedding dress and Jimmy Choo shoes on, the dogs had no problem just snuggling right up to Kala. During the first dance they were also close by enjoying the night right along with the couple. It was so special. These two have family from all around. Matt has a lot of family from Eugene, and Kala has family from Alaska. You could tell everyone was thrilled to be together celebrating their marriage! We can't go without mentioning the gorgeous flower arrangements designed by Kameo Flowers. They were lovely! Everyone was complimenting them all day. The stylists at Belu Salon did a fabulous job with the hair and makeup as well!
