Tavis and Cloey photographed Renae and Kegan as they joined together as one on July 7th. The wedding ceremony was at Holy Family Catholic Church in Yakima, and the reception was held at Pioneer Hall State Fair Park. What a special day this was! The Bride and Groom were surrounded by love and support all day long. They have known each other for many years, and both went to Central Washington University. Renae teaches in the arts at West Valley and Kagen teaches in the sciences for Toppenish. "It's nice, because we balance each other out!" - a quote from Kegan :) Although we were only with them for a day, it was clear to see his statement is true. Truly, such a sweet couple.
Favorite part from the day? Okay, there are more than one..Here are a few!
- First off, we went to their house and took pictures with their adorable dogs!
- A friend of Kegan's has a cool old yellow car. He gave them rides throughout the day & it was super cute!!
- The 4th of July carnival rides were still set up...so we totally had them go down the Super Slide and hop on the carousel towards the end of the night. Such fun wedding photos!
- Renae's father passed away when she was 11. In honor of him she pinned his badge to her bouquet. It was so special.
Of course, there were many more memorable moments throughout the day. Renae made such a stunning Bride. I decided she is a modern day princess. She has actually modeled for Lin Paul's in the past! Amy's Bridal Boutique fitted her to the perfect dress. Athina Flora designed elegant bouquets for the ladies. We later found out that the maid of honor, Leena, is Athina's daughter! During the bridal party portraits Leena had a squirt bottle to keep the flowers hydrated. Genius!
We loved having the opportunity to be involved with Renae & Kegen's wedding day. Capturing their love was such a blessing! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Powers!
