Navy Blue, Burgundy, and Gold Wedding


Tavis and Amy photographed this wedding at American Homestead on September 29th in Naches. Jamie and Josh have been together for eight years, making them high school sweethearts. It was clear they are best friends who adore each other. We actually photographed Jamie's sisters wedding at this same venue in fall of 2015, so it was neat to see Jamie join in with so many similar traditions! The Bride and Groom are both nurses at the same hospital, and on nights! Most couples have opposite work schedules when one is on nights, so that works out great for these two :) A few of their nursing school friends came to the wedding to join in celebration!

The weather was perfect, as the temperature was great and the fall colors were just starting the peek out. Jamie's mom, Tracie, put the bouquets together with help from a few others, and they did a fabulous job! They looked as if a florist had designed them. Cascade Catering prepared a delicious dinner for the evening. Thanks to Big Ern Productions, following dinner everyone crowded the dance floor for the rest of the night!

Ellensburg Wedding at McIntosh Ranch // Erin + Tyler Martin

Navy Blue and Silver Wedding

Keith and Cloey photographed this wedding on September 29th at McIntosh Ranch in Ellensburg. Erin and Tyler were such a fun couple to spend the day photographing! They met through Match.com a few years ago, and have been together ever since. Erin grew up in the Yakima Valley, and moved to Richland to be with Tyler. When we asked what they like to do together Tyler responded, "well, we do everything together". Erin even spends Saturdays with Tyler for Saturday night football!

The Bride and Groom were up for a little adventuring during their couple portraits. So they hopped in the car and we headed across the highway to the Yakima River. Absolutely stunning!! They even went for a little walk in the middle of highway, which was surrounded by all the warm fall colors. Dodging the cars only happened a few times...! Erin's bouquet was arranged by Ellensburg Florist; matching her wedding colors perfectly.

Erin's mom, Joanne, embroidered all the bridesmaids and flower girls names on bags for them. They were also gifted personalized cups from the Bride. "Hangover Emergency Kits" were provided for the guests that included band-aids, Advil, Emergen-C, mints and other handy items for a hangover. Castle Mountain Grilling made a delicious dinner, served in cast iron bowls, along with the largest bowl of macaroni salad ever! Natalie DeHaven Cakes designed the perfect cake (and cupcakes) for Erin and Tyler.

Mr. and Mrs. Martin are spending their honeymoon in Ireland. Erin said she has always wanted to visit there, so of course their honeymoon would be the best time! Congratulations to the two love birds!

Wedding Photography at Crystal Mountain Resort // Erica + Marcus Peterson

Dusty Blue, Burgundy, Rust, Peach, and Green Wedding

Tavis and Rhiann photographed this wedding on September 15th at Crystal Mountain Resort in Enumclaw. Erica and Marcus are an active couple when it comes to pursuing the outdoors together, and spending quality time with each other. All of his groomsmen were childhood friends from Minnesota. It was fun seeing them reunite! Erica's wedding dress was full of significance. Here's a little back story on the gown:

The dress was first sewn in 1981 for Erica's mother, Janet, by Janet's sister, Karen. Now her daughter, Erica, wore the same dress for her wedding. Lisa Mensonides, Erica and Marcus' friend, modified it to fit her. It looked absolutely stunning! The flower girl's dress was also a family heirloom that had been worn for a couple generations and altered throughout. Even the ring bearer's tie was made in the same form!

Jeff, the Bride's father, knew how to get a laugh out of everyone. He was explaining the effect this wedding had on his pocket book, as his wallet burst into literal flames. What a sight! During the father daughter dance her grandfather made his way up to interrupt the dance so he could share a moment with his granddaughter. Not a dry eye in the audience.

The couple is spending their honeymoon in Antigua and Florida. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Peterson!
