Yakima Wedding at Hilton Garden Inn // Eve + Lawrence Burnett

Red, Black and White Wedding

Keith and Cloey photographed this Hollywood inspired wedding in Yakima on October 13th at the Hilton Garden Inn. Eve and Lawrence met through work a few years ago at Microsoft. They have both parted jobs, but that didn't stop them from continuing their love story! On this superb fall day they joined together as one with their family and friends surrounding to show their love and support. It was obvious family is of high importance to these two. Antonette, Eve's sister, and Erik, Lawrence's brother, made up the bridal party. Elena, Antonette's daughter, was the flower girl. William, Eve's son was the cutest little ring bearer. Brittany with Tin Sparrow Events was fabulous to work alongside. Making sure the Bride and Groom had everything they needed, and all pieces were in place.

This wedding was full of unique details. Here's a few to give you an idea of all the hard work put into making this a dream come true:
  • The Bride wore a red wedding dress, Manolo Blahnik heels, black fur shawl, black gloves, and she even brought a black parasol + feather boa to incorporate into their couple portraits. Pure magic!
  • Feathers - everywhere. Lining the aisle, used in the table center pieces, as well as in Eve's hair!
  • One of Eve's favorite movies is, "It's a Wonderful Life". Naturally, you'll notice small details from the movie throughout. The bells at everyone's table, a hand drawn piece of Lawrence lassoing the moon that's in the movie, and posters around the reception too.
  • Personalized chocolate bars for party favors.
  • Lawrence works for Disney from the Seattle area. They played the newlywed game, but raised Mickey and Minnie stuffed animals instead of shoes. It was seriously adorable! Let's not forget the bridal Mickey and Minnie ears for the Bride and Groom to wear!
  • The essence of fall was surrounding the couple during their first look - leading family pictures into a "Hollywood like" ally along the Capital Theatre
That's just to name a few! It seemed as if the entire day was something out of a movie. Not only from the dramatic decor, swoon worthy Bride and prince-like Groom, but Eve and Lawrence share such a calm presence with one another. The most important detail that stood out seemed small, but it was full of emotion. Ready? In August, the family was hit with devastating news that Eve's mother had passed away. The funeral home was able to take her fingerprints and make earrings from them. Antonette had a matching necklace. It was truly special. She was still able to have her mom with her on her wedding day.

The night ended as Eve and Lawrence ran through a sparkler tunnel. Lots of dipping and kissing was involved! Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Burnett as they start a beautiful chapter in life!
